Women's Adventure Magazine, Zeal Optics and Jagged Edge Mountain Gear present "Pretty Faces," a film celebrating women who thrive in the snow, on Nov. 29 at historic Sheridan Opera House. The concept for the film was originated by professional big mountain skier and SheJumps co-founder, Lynsey Dyer, with the objective of giving women and girls, young and old, a source of inspiration through a unique look at what is possible when boundaries are broken, dreams captured and friendships cultivated. Tickets are general admission, $15 for adults and $10 for students (18 & under), with showtimes at 5:30 p.m and 8 p.m.

New Orleans native Trombone Shorty began his career as a bandleader at the young age of six, toured internationally at age 12, and spent his teens playing with various brass bands throughout New Orleans and touring worldwide with Lenny Kravitz. He is currently the front man for his own ensemble Orleans Avenue, a funk/rock/jazz/hip-hop band. Texas alt-rock bluegrass band Seryn returns to Telluride with a seated show at the historic Sheridan Opera House. With their beautifully layered instrumentation, chilling harmony vocals, and exquisite dynamics, it's hard to imagine that Seryn is a relatively new band and not seasoned veterans. Their songs may first appear as straight folk songs before transforming into transcendent and triumphant walls of sound. Their live presence, with each member swapping instruments and joining in on the chorus, is as joyful and stirring as music gets. Mudd Butt Mystery Theatre Troupe of Telluride Academy present The Teeny Tiny Christmas Concert hosted by folk legend Peter Yarrow. Peter of Peter, Paul and Mary will perform an hour of children's songs at the Sheridan Opera House on December 29th from 4-5pm. Yarrow is not only a passionate musician but also commits his time and talent to equal rights, peace, the environment, gender equality, homelessness and other social issues. Yarrow's career has spanned more than four decades and is known best for his connections to Bob Dylan and Pete Seeger and his career with the trio Peter, Paul & Mary. This general admission show is geared toward children ages 3-8 and is a fundraiser for Telluride Academy. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

Yarrow's career has spanned more than four decades and is known best for his connections to Bob Dylan and Pete Seeger and his career with the trio Peter, Paul & Mary. This general admission show is geared toward children ages 3-8 and is a fundraiser for Telluride Academy. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

Grammy award winning singer songwriter Shawn Colvin plays the historic Sheridan Opera House as part of the 2014 Holiday Concert Series. Colvin stands out as a singular and enduring talent with her keen and warm-hearted storytelling in her songwriting and on stage. In the 23 years since the release of her debut album, Colvin has won three Grammy Awards, released ten albums, maintained a non-stop national and international touring schedule, appeared on countless television and radio programs, had her songs featured in major motion pictures, and created a remarkable canon of work. This show will be seated with cabaret tables in the front. (Please note: Balcony seats in rows P & O are flip down with a great view of the stage, but limited leg room)
