The 15th Annual Telluride Comedy Festival
The Sheridan Arts Foundation and Jeb Berrier present the 15th annual Telluride Comedy Fest Feb. 13-16, 2014. Since 1999 each Presidents' Day Weekend the SAF brings in some of the country's best and funniest comedians for four nights of amazing comedy in a historic and intimate venue. Every night the show revolves around one comedic form: either stand-up, improve or sketch comedy. The Comedy Fest strives to be a world class event while keeping the grassroots feel and uniqueness of Telluride itself. Past performers include, Rob Riggle of the Daily Show, Jack MacBrayer from 30 Rock, Stephanie Weir of Mad TV, Tig Notaro from the Sarah Silverman Program, SNL's Casey Wilson, Rob Corddry, Ed Helms, Brian Huskey, Seth Morris, Rob Heubel, Aziz Ansari, June Raphael, Scott Armstrong, Jason Mantzoukas, Paul Scheer, Rob Corddry and more. As per the Comedy Fest custom, the festival opens with star comedians paying tribute to the people who live and work here and make Telluride the special, quirky place that it is. Join us for a fun-filled evening performed for those who make this town tick. This show is a mix of characters, sketches, stand-up and improve that celebrates (and pokes fun at) the place we all love. Tickets are discounted to $30! Friday’s Valentine’s Show:
Upright Citizen’s Brigade comedian, director and actor Amy Heidt performs her one woman show “A Problem with Maria,” just another community theater production of “The Sound of Music”. Heidty will be followed by the Naked Babies Improv Show with Rob Corddry, Seth Morris and Brian Huskey. The night will finish off with The Dating Game, one of last year’s Valentine’s Highlights hosted by Paul Scheer and Rob Huebel.
Saturday Night: Sketch Comedy & Improv:
Rob Huebel and Paul Scheer, of Human Giant and Telluride Ski Patrol, return with Crash Test bringing their in-your-face brand of comedy back to the Opera House Stage. Crash Test was just filmed as a pilot for Comedy Central so come see it for yourself before it’s aired on national TV. Saturday will end with the Armando Show, long form improve in the style of Del Close and the Upright Citizen’s Brigade with our talented lineup of comedians.
Stand Up Comedy Sunday:
The 15th annual Telluride Comedy Fest ends on Sunday night with a brilliant night of stand up comedy featuring rising up-and-comer Cameron Esposito, Joe Wengert and Nick Kroll, star of Comedy Central’s Kroll Show and Ruxin on The League. The night is hosted by two-time Emmy Award winning creator of Children’s Hospital, Rob Corddry! You may remember him from Hot Tub Time Machine, Butter and The Daily Show and he’s been a Comedy Fest mainstay since the beginning.

The 41st annual Telluride Film Festival has come and gone and it was a great weekend full of though-provoking films, star-studded audiences and special one-of-a-kind moments only possible during Telluride Film Fest. The 11th annual Telluride Plein Air was a huge success exceeding our sales from the year before. With 26 talented artists coming to town for the Fourth of July Weekend we had a wonderful array of art for sale. As part of the Sheridan Arts Foundation’s mission to restore and renovate the historic Sheridan Opera House, this spring off-season the historic venue in the heart of Telluride received some much needed improvements to its gold staircase.
The Opera House’s staircase was built before current building codes were put in place , and the vertical bars on all three floors of the building were wide enough apart to make the staircase a tempting jungle gym and safety hazard for children.... Read More »
